Sometimes I feel anything but. An introverted extravert thanks to growing up in a large family, I love to entertain people and hide away to create worlds.

I started my career as a writer. Then, one day, a cold call introduced me to instructional design. It was the perfect fit for my creative skills and love of learning. And although I’ve designed programs and written about employee development over the years, my first love is how the human condition impacts our lives and, by extension, the workplace.

Mid-career, a graduate writing program changed my life. It also changed how I saw the world. Now, everywhere I look, I see the link between the personal and social stories, and the critical role of self-awareness in transforming both.

My astrological sign is Sagittarius, and we Sags want to save the world. When I realized I couldn’t do that singlehandedly, I decided the next best thing was to support the individuals and organizations that do.
